Job Opening for an Assistant Stylist
We're looking for an Assistant Stylist who is eager to learn and eager to advance.We are looking for a newly licensed cosmetologist or a soon-to-be beauty school grad to join our salon in Virginia Beach. Fine tune your skills and build confidence as you complete your in-salon training. We are focused on hair extensions, hair replacement and enhancement solutions, custom hair color, and Brazilian Blowouts. The Siren Stylists are human hair extensions specialists offering hand tied wefts, tape-ins, keratin bond extensions, high quality clip-ins, HairBands and Halo extensions, Chemo Girls extensions, hair toppers and more. We are BUSY especially as more and more women discover the transformative power of extensions! IMPORTANT: We are looking for an assistant stylist who ultimately wants to advance. Your starting role is to make us a more efficient, stronger team. Our role is to build your confidence and provide vital hands-on training as you complete your apprenticeship. To start, your responsibilities will include helping out around the salon, shampooing clients, and helping with hair color applications. The goal is to get you ready to perform services on your own, like blowouts and root touch-ups, followed by hair extensions maintenance services. Beyond anything you were taught about extensions in beauty school, you'll learn the pros and cons of today's popular types of extensions methods. Over time, you will learn and help with hair extensions consultations, color matching clients, and ordering hair. You will learn and assist with the required maintenance services and safe removals and eventually perform some of these services independently. Ultimately you can learn various application techniques and these skills will set you apart from other stylists.
