Caitlin Essing is a master hair extensions artist, salon owner, and educator with over a decade of experience helping women transform their hair—and their confidence. She built her career under the name Siren Stylist, quickly earning a reputation in Virginia Beach for artistry, precision, and compassion. Today, she carries that same vision into Siren Extension Studio, where she leads a team dedicated to providing luxury hair extension services and customized solutions for women at every stage of life.
From Michigan to Virginia Beach — A Stylist’s Journey
A Michigan native, Caitlin’s path to beauty began in 2010 after graduating from cosmetology school. She worked as an educator and platform artist for Rock Your Hair, competing in fashion shows and training other stylists. After spending several years in Colorado, she relocated to Virginia Beach to follow her dream of opening a salon space of her own.
Her passion has always been clear: helping women with fine hair, hair loss, or slow-growing natural hair find modern, natural-looking solutions that restore fullness, length, and confidence.

What began as Siren Stylist has evolved into Siren Extension Studio, a destination salon built around Caitlin’s passion for hair extensions. With her talented team, they create a supportive, welcoming space where every client receives personalized care and flawless results.

Beyond the Chair
When she isn’t working in the salon, Caitlin can often be found at a Body Pump, Spin, or Yoga class. She and her husband Danny love exploring the outdoors with their dog Atlas, whether it’s kayaking, paddle boarding, or snowboarding in the winter.
And in true “Siren” spirit, Caitlin isn’t afraid to laugh at herself. “Fun fact about me: I was so ridiculous in high school. When asked what I couldn’t live without if stranded on a desert island, I said eyeliner! Now, I’d have to say lash extensions and hair extensions. I realized this during quarantine.”
